Pros:Price, Features, Size
Cons:The Graffiti writing takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's so much fun!
I like to be organized and love electronics. However, I'm also a consumer who does her research and likes to get the most "bang for her buck". The Palm series seemed like a perfect marriage of value and function to me.
After observing people in general and research at various websites(including Palm's, ZDNet, and Epinions), I narrowed it down to two choices - the Palm M100 and the Palm IIIxe. I chose the Palm m100 because of two things: 1) The price and 2) The faceplate (it's true what they say about a woman's prerogative).
I ended up purchasing my Palm as a web-only special from Day Timer. com (the Other organization people). For $179 (+ tax, the shipping was free) I got the Palm, Day Timer CD-Rom, Palm Organizer, printable paper for the organizer, HotSync cable, Pacific Blue faceplate and instructions.
It fits perfectly and discreetly in my purse or pocket. It's extremely light and the rounded bottom is a natural fit for my hand. I've had a hard time putting it down.
For those who are concerned about the 2MB memory being too small, even this has been taken care of. After searching this site, I learned there's a guy in New Jersey who can upgrade your Palm m100 to 8MB for $79. (If you're interested, please see the reviews on this site under "Palm Upgrades".) I don't need 8MB at this moment, but may in the future.
If you'd like to have fun while being organized, the Palm m100 may be the answer to your prayer (or at least your New Years' Resolution).
