Avoid and keep your sanity!

I bought a Cybermax that was reviewed in PC Magazine as a great value. It was the worst decision I made. I was wary about ordering from a direct marketer with no reputation for fear of lack of support - wow, was I ever right! The PC worked fine for the first 6 months, then started freezing and having what I think are motherboard problems. I have called their technical support dozens and dozens of times. I have never had anyone answer my call. They just eventually end up hanging you up. I called Customer Service who, rudely, took my phone number and said tech support would call within 3 days. I never heard from them. I honestly don't think their technical support even exists. I think that this company should be reported to the Better Business Bureau. Avoid this company like the plague. They will certainly be out of business in the short term anyway if they continue on this path.
If I had to do it all over again my advice to shoppers would be this: don't be so focused on getting a short-term deal on price by wasting your time with these direct mail companies. Go for a Dell or a Gateway. I have a Dell at work and the support is amazing! Trust me , its not worth it when you have problems and need help - and you will.
