I purchased this product because of the value and price. A beginner at computers would love this model. It has a monitor, and DVD all in one. Some if the good things that I liked about this product were the storage space (15.8GB), and 6X DVD drive, the processor speed and the Zip-100 drive. A few things that I found could have been better are as follows. The lack of upgradability is the most annoying thing about it. It only has two 3 1/2 in. bay and one 5 1/4 in. bay which are all occupied. I had to sell my old internal CD-RW and get a USB one because I had nowhere to put it in the case. Another bummer about this computer is the video and sound. I would think if they would put a DVD drive in a computer, it would at least have good video and sound. That is not the case here. The sound and video are substandard, to say the least. I had to upgrade the sound to a SB Live Platinum, and for the video, i just placed a 12 MB Voodoo 2 board in. This was great, only I lost my modem because it was built into my sound card (typical). It has no ISA slots so i had to settle with getting a software drive PCI winmodem and making my system suffer. The final bad thing about it would have to be the packaged monitor. A 15 in. is a joke for trying to watch DVD's. I finally got tired of the eyestrain and bought a 17 in.
All in all, this computer is a great student or beginner computer.
However, if you are looking for a powerhouse that you can upgrade to fit your future needs, this one falls clearly short.
