"Oh Homie, how are we gonna get Bart, Lisa and Maggie on the internet when we haven't even been able to afford a new car in 10 years"? "Don't worry Marge, baby, we'll sign up for Mr. Burns' free ISP."
After getting over the shock that the Simpsons even had a free ISP I decided to give it a shot. First I filled out a few questions on the website and then downloaded the setup file. Well, I was amazed by how well it worked.
The standard web bar that pops up with free ISPs is by far the LEAST intrusive of any one I've seen. It kind of integrated with the task bar in Windows. With the bar down there none of the Internet Explorer window was blocked, which is the case with all the other I've tried.
The speed at which I was connected also made me quiet impressed. At almost 40Kbps it was the fastest free ISPs I've tried as well. The speed factor is a very big concern to me, and I'm sure most of you, because what good is a free ISP if it takes 10 minutes to load a basic webpage?
I feel obligated to give at least one problem with the service. What should this downfall be? Umm....I know the service would be better if they did away with the web bar all together!!! Wait that wouldn't work. OK I'm stuck, I really can't find a better free ISP. I mean come on it's fast, not intrusive, and it's by everyone's favorite cartoon family.
Download it now. What do you have to lose?
