| opalminer's Full Review: The Bat! |
The_Bat! is the _best_ email client to hit the net. I have been using it for over a year now, and am very glad to have been.
Being the type of person who always likes to have the newest and the best, I am _always_ experimenting with new programs. When a new client comes around or is updated, I am there to play with it. The_Bat! has withstood this test of time without wavering, and is & always has been by far my favourite. It's one of those programs I can't imagine the net without.
The Bat supports multiple accounts and users with ease and works with both IMAP4 and POP3 protocols. It has many other features, including the 'mail ticker - which scrolls your email messages as a news ticker would and many other great perks, like Macros and templates of unparalleled intuition. It has a powerful filtering system, that is highly flexible - allowing you to do everything from generate replies automatically to deleting messages from the server rather than downloading.
It has everything you would expect from a robust email client, (from spell check to HTML viewing) and more - and all of this is a fast, stable program that takes up very little hard drive space - The development team is always seeking to improve TB, as well - and they do a wondrous job of it, while STILL keeping the file size small.
The Bat is powerful enough for a power user, yet elementally simple enough for a novice - and has an easy learning curve for the novice who wants to graduate to expert.
The Bat! is small, fast, flexible, and powerful - What could be better?!
