Unless you are living in a box or a bubble, you have to know about napster. Even if you do live in a box you still should know about napster. And you should definitely use napster. If you are one of the many people out there (INCLUDING ME) who tends to buy a lot of cd's and ends up spending hundreds of dollars a year on cd's with one good song then you definitely need to try out Napster. Now if you do not have internet access then obviously you are out of luck, but if you DO have a computer and DON'T use this product, then you need to see a doctor or something. Why waste hundreds of dollars a year on cd's that you can get for FREE on the internet. Many times in the past, I heard a song on the radio I liked then bought the cd and found out that the rest of the album totally sucked. This does NOT happen for the past four or five months since I have been a member with Napster Music Community. So basically it is absolutely pointless to go on with your life buying cd's that you don't like when you can download the individual song off Napster. Granted, the community may be shut down within a couple of months because of the RIAA but my advice is to get all that you can out of it while you still can.
How This Works
Napster works by letting its' (OVER 20 MILLION USERS) download any song that they want. You can get live, rare, acoustic versions of songs, anything you want. I have not had a problem finding any songs. All you do is go to the search engine type in the name of the band and the song name, and within an hour (WITH ABOUT 56K COMPUTER SPEED, IF YOU HAVE A T1 ABOUT 200 TIMES FASTER) or so the song will be yours to keep. You can find all of the songs you have already downloaded by going to 'Library' at the top of the Napster page. You can download up to three songs at once off of napster. This is just about all there is to Napster, very simple and easy.
Will Napster Get Shut Down
The way I look at it the RIAA is on the brink of shutting Napster down. Much to the disgrace of all of its active users it may soon be shut down. My prediction would be anywhere from three to five months. So do not get too comfortable with Napster, because it won't be very long before we will never hear from it again. LET US ALL PRAY THAT NAPSTER DOES NOT GET SHUT DOWN!
Just how many songs do some people have on napster? Well, there is no limit, and I know a couple of people who have over 3,000 songs. What a disappointment it would be if/when it gets shut down because of some very greedy people.
Cons
The only Cons about Napster that I can think of is the computer space that it takes up. Each and every song, and napster itself takes up a boatload of computer space. Many of my friends can barely get there computer to work properly because of so much space Napster has taken up. It is kinda like epinions in the fact that it's very addictive.
Conclusions
In conclusion, napster will never be forgotten by many of its members. In fact there are over 20 MILLION ACTIVE USERS! I highly recommend you get Napster downloaded while you still can, it won't be around forever so take the time to download it. It will save you a bundle of money!
