Command and Conquer Red Alert was my first encounter with this genre, and was only bettered by the next Command and Conquer game: Tiberian Sun. Command and Conquer Red Alert showcases everything people like about this genre: It has great graphics, lots of strategy, great multi-player action, a smart AI, and great replay-ability. There are lots of great things to say about the single player game, like how the AI is not easy but is not too hard for the intermediate gamer. Also, even if you've never played this kind of game before and you start out and really don't now how to play, the missions at the beginning are easy enough to allow you to learn. Multi-player, however, is a different story. The players are challenging, and the interface is exceptional. I had my most fun when playing against people I know. Command and Conquer Red Alert is a great buy, both for its single player missions, and its multi-player capabilities.
