I have been using Thumbs Plus for several years now and the latest version (4.02) is even better than the previous. If you need to examine, catalogue or compare several graphic files at the same time Thumbs Plus is a godsend. It can view (as well as convert between) almost any type of graphics file. It easily allows you to crop, convert, sharpen, rename individual or multiple files in sequence, add brightness & contrast, resize, print contact sheets, create slide shows, make wallpaper easily and lots, lots more.

It has a easy to understand interface that simply shows you a list of your directories and then gives you a thumbnail view of all photos in that directory. From there you can apply whatever process you need to individual photos or batch photos together and apply the same processes to the bunch.

It also is excellent for webmasters that require full pages of thumbnails where you can click on the thumbnail and see a larger photo. With a very simple setup in Thumbs Plus you simply choose the photos you want (either single or multiple pages), choose the setup of the page and click a few buttons, Thumbs Plus will create the html page and create all the thumbnails in seconds.

Thumbs plus does not allow you to actually "enter" a photo and change elements within a photo (as Adobe Photoshop does) but does allow you to do almost anything else to a photo.

This newest version also allows you to sort photos by name, type, file size, date, width, height, orientation, dimension, similarity and more. You can use the sort by similarity function to sort thru your photos and pull out duplicates, even if they are black & white vs color, cropped or sized differently or in different formats.

I have a database of over 25,000 photos and control a successful website with the help of Thumbs Plus. For the price it can't be beat and I highly recommend it.
