Buying a Compaq is Like Buying a Headache

I'm a computer technician. I do warranty work on a variety of computers including Compaq, in fact mostly Compaqs. Most of the Compaq computers, are D.O.A., (dead on arrival) and when the warranty work is performed most likely the problem isn't solved. Now you can say that's because I'm a faulty Tech, but Compaq themselves do the trouble-shooting I just replace what they say to. The others run for any where from one month to nine months, (rarely over a year without problems,) and then have some sort of major component failure i.e. the motherboard or the hard drive these components should last at least a good solid year, bare minimum. Now I'm not saying that Compaq is the only computer that has this problem, because other computers do, I'm just saying they have them more often. Credit is do to Compaq for trying to remedy the problem asap. Now if you enjoy having a computer around that chances are isn't gonna work that's great, and if you enjoy having to have repair work done two to three times before the computer works if it does at all then be me guest and buy a Compaq. But if you want to avoid all the headaches then buy a different brand, but do your research first.
