My new computer came with the Win 98 installed already. Although I had grown accustomed to using Windows 95 I figured this platform would be easy enough to grow accustomed to. I was right - the same features are present - along with a fresh new appearance. What also was present was a HUGE amount of instability. This is also on a pretty powerful machine, too: (PIII 500, 128 MB RAM). So I know the problems aren't stemming from insufficient power. It seems to freeze up a good bit. Changing resolution to play DVD's is quite a pain also. If I were you - I would hold out for the Windows 2000 which is supposed to be much more stable.
