HP Pavillion 8670

Feb 21 '00

Just got this machine and it has impressed me. I basically was able to take it out of the box and had a few simple connections. It booted right up and identified all of my plug and play hardware, right off the bat. I know this is very unusual but believe it or not, it was up and running in about an hour with all my existing hardware installed. I have gone all routes when it comes to computers from the higher end Dell's and to build it myself and this was by far the easiest. The system was alittle bit on the high side but was highly worth it. I paid $1599.99 (for the CPU) and $299.99 (for the monitor). The unit includes DVD, CD RW, 128 meg RAM, 16 meg Video, with AGP Graphics Accelerator, 56kbps modem and 10/100 baseT card, for networking or DSL Connect and has an Intel Pentium III 600 mhz processor. Both the keyboard and mouse are USB. And I found that I needed 1 more USB and got a 4 port USB hub and this intergrated no problem....

I would, so far, Highly Recommend this System or both the advanced user and the beginner.
