As a handicapped person, I don't get around a lot, but I have
made a lot of friends on my eGroups lists. There is something
for anyone, no matter what your interest. Some are very business
like and serious, and some are more friendly, chat oriented. I
am a list owner of one that is a very formal, strictly regulated
list for business matters related to a doll club. The same club
has 2 other lists. One is very chatty about anything. The 3rd one
is for arranging trips and get togethers for the members. They
all serve a very real purpose. I belong to a number of other lists.
I get individual emails from some chatty ones where I have good
friends. Some I get a digest of messages once a day, so I don't
clutter my mailbox, and others I only read on the website.

eGroups is very easy to use. It is easy to change your settings.
It is easy to find a group geared to your interest with their
search function. I have learned how to use my digital camera and
reduce my pictures so they don't take as long to open in my eBay
ads. I have received wonderful recipes for my various diets. I
have founds great bargains and freebies. I am planning a move to
a very rural area, and will then depend on my eGroup email even
more than I do now for community with others with same interests.
