Pros:fast, nice mac
Cons:expensive, bad usb, bad switches

I bought two of these macs for work and both do the job for which they were chosen. We got these expensive ($2500) macs (G4 450, 128MbRAM, 20Gb HD, ATIrage video, DVD) in addition to less expensive ($1500) but more powerful PC's (PIII 550, 128MB RAM, 20Gb HD, Matrox G400 dualhead video, CDRW) as we wanted to be able to run some mac software we like. Plus our boss likes macs. They are better than previous macs we have used. The design is ugly but allows for easy internal access. The CD drawer door in needless and prevents access to useful controls inside forcing the need to use software controls. When the mac freezes or crashes, the reset and power switch on the front of the mac do not work necessitating unplugging the machine to reboot. The hardware in these computers is good. But the cost is outrageous for what you get. A pc gives better value. As far as ease of use, they are the same if you know how to use computers (and in this age you should!). One problem we have with our G4's we do not have with the PC's: the macs seem to forget about devices (imation superdisk floppy drive) hooked up to the USB port. To reaqcuire the drive we must unplug it and plug it back in so the mac can see it. Very crude.
