Despite the fact that I usually write long detailed opinions, there is just not much to say about the Bonzi Buddy, other than it stinks.
Bonzi Buddy is a file that you download onto your computer. From then on, every time you turn on your computer, a little parrot flies onto the screen and flat out bugs you.
The Concept:
Even I admit that at first glance, the Bonzi Buddy is cute. It’s a little green parrot that tells you stupid jokes while to surf the Internet. The concept is that after a while it learns your Internet patterns and can recommend places for you to go. Well, good luck with that.
The reality:
After being on your computer for no more than five minutes, Bonzi Buddy will pop up and ask you if you want to go on the Internet. Of course, you would go on without his asking if you really wanted to… so you click no. Two minutes later, Bonzi is back with a stupid joke and five minutes after that he is asking you if you want to go online again!
If you do go online he will keep asking if you want to go to places that (trust me on this one folks!) are of no interest to anybody. And he will keep asking
The only good thing that I can say about Bonzi Buddy is that it has a nice little hide feature so you don’t have to look at the darn thing if you don’t want to. I used it so often (like every time I was on the computer) that finally I just uninstalled the program altogether.
Bonzi Buddy is really not worth downloading. It will only make your internet connection slower (with more ram being used) and much more annoying. Pass this one up folks
IMPORTANT: If somebody sends you a downloadable Bonzi Buddy, do not download it with out doing a virus check first. I know two people whose computer were completely destroyed by the Bonzi file!
