| danilo's Full Review: eMachines eMonster |
I bought the eMonster 500 because of the low price but was extremely surprised to discover the high level of quality, especially the Customer Service.
The documentation exactly matched the setup instructions, which in itself was a huge surprise, and when I contacted eMachines with a technical question, they verified my question within 1 day.
Having built and used various machines, I especially liked the quality power switch, which requires a very light touch to operate, instead of the usual clunky switch I've seen on other machines.
Their internet offering is by uunet, so you know you are getting quality here, too, and I Love the fact that they include the 800# on the dial-up screen, in case of trouble.
I recommend this machine for a novice or expert, as the machine also comes with an option for an upgrade as very little cost and is easy to use or customize, if so desired.
I was attracted by the price, but was frankly a little reluctant to buy it, because I was not very familiar with their brand, but would now recommend it after using is for a week.
The eMonster came with Windows 98 Second Edition, and therefore I found NO problem with my existing printer, as all the newest drivers are included.
It worked fine with my CD's, but now I am VERY anxious to tryout a DVD.
