Pros: not too slow, cheap with great deals they run

In the spring my ISP at the time shut down all the lines in our area...grrr the worst is they didn't even notify anyone we had to call them to complain. But anyway this isn't a review on my former provider so I'll spare the sordid details.
Someone referred us to Onemain and when we called they had the great deal of 6 months free with a year contract which meant our internet bill has been cut and half. I can't find anything to complain about there!
I have a 56k modem and I usually get connected at 48 or higher ...I know to some this seems slooow but thats considerably faster than we had been connecting previously so I can't complain about that either. I do notice what some have complained about with the hang when you dial up, sometimes this does happen a little. Also, at times there can be a lot of lag. I guess my biggest complaint is that when we signed on they promised to send a cd to get us setup and it never arrived...luckily I tinkered around and found the right stuff I needed to set up my outlook express mail with my new email address.
I haven't had any problems yet so I haven't had to use the customer service so I don't know how they are with prompt answers or help.
Overall it has been a great improvement and I'm very happy with my new internet service.
