I've received two checks from FreeLotto after playing for several months. I've only won $1 at a time, but they actually sent me the checks for $1 and $2. It's not bad for a few minutes of clicking per day.
Playing the lottery anywhere is a long shot. You are more likely to be struck by lightening than win a million dollars in a lottery. At least I'm not paying $1 or more per shot. At FreeLotto, the three to five entries they give me per day to win $1,000,000 are free.
The biggest drawback to using this site is that it is slow over a 56K modem connection. To play, you sign in, then for each chance you select your six numbers manually or using the quickpick and click on a sponsor. The quickpick takes and inordinately long period of time, about 10 seconds, to choose the numbers because it sorts the numbers and displays them while its choosing. While the sponsor page loads, you have to wait for your entry to be confirmed. Then, you can get your next chance by clicking the "Play Again" button. The one thing I have found to speed up the process is that you can generate several new chances by clicking the same "Play Again" button. You don't have to wait for any confirmation screens after the first to get to the next chance.
Good luck!
