Pros:Many options to choose from
Cons:Not one

My grandma bought us this encyclopedia for Christmas a few years back, and I'll tell you I can't enjoy it more. I use it mainly for reports, but sometimes I just pop it in because I'm bored.

When the screen first comes up, it allows you to start your lesson all over or resume the last one. Once you have picked, you can pretty much do whatever you feel like, the disc also includes more information then a whole set of books would include in way less space. You can also to interactivities, which are little "movies" that explain what your looking up.

So what do you want to look up? Will include pictures? Is the information clear? The answers to all those questions? YES, this system is more than easy, it's almost too easy. Everything is there plain and simple. I have not a problem finding anything and am certain I never will. Because the way it is set up, people who aren't remotely computer literate can use it. See, the main features are at the top, and when you click on one, little sub-divisons come up and allow you to click once more. Next a sub-sub-division comes up, and this keeps happening until you find what your looking for.

The main feature I use most is the "articles" which tell about the subject. Of course that is probably what most people use. Other main features include, timelines, an atlas, guided tours which are almost the same as interactivites, only it "guides" you through the article step by step. It also includes a gallery which has lots and lots of photos about nearly every subject.

You can pretty much look up anything you very well please, from people, to wars, to cities or states, or providences. You can even look up sports like football or hockey. Once you do look one up the simpleness has just begun, you will then have the option to watch a "movie" or view pictures, my favorite thing about the pictures is that there are many pictures, like ten to fifteen, so you'll have an idea of what whatever it is your looking up looks like, which is a big help!

I would recommend this to anyone from the ages of 8 to 200. It's very simple to use and does not require much knowledge to use.
