If you're looking for a high quality computer, but not THE fastest thing it is possible to buy, this is the one for you. While it's not the 700mhz, it's very fast, and you probably don't really need it to be any faster.
The best part about buying a Dell computer is that you can customize the whole thing. Want a smaller monitor? Or, instead, one of those neat flat ones? It's easy to do, especially through the Dell website. You can make you system have top of the line everything, or pick and choose those features you know you'll use, and save money on those you won't.
I like the option of an internal re-writable CD drive, which not all companies offer yet. It makes the computer truly future-ready in a time when technologies are becoming more and more intertwined.
There's only two downsides to this system for me. First, the speakers sound fine, but they need to manually turned on and off, which wasn't the case with my old system. This is pretty minor though. Second, is Windows98, which I find less convenient than Win95. Of course, this is the operating system on all computers now, so we might as well get used to it.
Overall this is a great system, and you can customize the features to fit your own needs and get exactly what you want for what you want to pay. And in case you're wondering, I checked it out, and this system is cheaper than comparable Gateway and IBM systems.
