CD-Recorders, like scanners and 20 inch monitors, used to be an unnecessary but really cool add-on for one's comp. Well, times have changed, and CD-Recorders are finally affordable.
Well, why did I purchase the Smart and Friendly CD-R? Well, its most obvious advantage over the plethora of other good and similar CD-R's is its software package. With the award-winning software provided, you can mix wav. files (so you can make your own songs in essence) improve existing music, make data backups and compare and contrast the original and new disks, and do plenty more. In addition to its strong software package, using the Smart and Friendly is quite simple. Setting up is a snatch, and it runs great. My only qualm with it would be its noise...while it's not exactly loud or even bothersome, it's an annoying "whirr" noise that should be attended to by the Smart and Friendly engineers.
In any case, the Smart and Friendly CD-R has been an absolute blast to work with. I recommend this reliable product from the computer novice to the advanced computer audiophile. If you ever decide to go shopping for a CD-R, give a heavy consideration to the Smart and Friendly line. I'm glad I did.
