I was looking for a new computer that wouldnt take up much space. You know, something that would fit on an office desk. I was impressed with the size and the speed of the Compaq so I bought it and now I'm here to tell you, the might-be buyer of this computer, the ups and downs. It is, as advertised, a fast computer. It is also very compact and the speakers (which emit very nice sound) fit niecely in the sides of the computer. It is nice looking and has a hidden burner drive which is great for back-up copies and burning cd's for cheap. Believe me if you have a teenager, he'll like it. So what's so bad? here's what
When the Compaq freezes there's no way to turn it off. You have to unplug the computer which causes for some very frustrating visits to the outlets. Also the so called "shortcut keys" that you get one the keyboard are a scam. You have to be signed up for there special service for a single key to work. Also the 20 gigs of memory is good but for a 1200$ computer, not excellent.
So this computer, with it's ups and downs just like any computer, is still a very good one and I would suggest it for someone who doesnt have a lot of space in the ol' office but still needs some good speed hard drive.
