I Don't Want To Be A "Partner" To This!

Pros: I haven't found any...
Cons: Can't connect, will kick you off the net quite frequently.

If I still lived 10 more miles to the east, and wanted to get on the internet through a local ISP, I would be forced to use Mid-Iowa PcPartner. (If you haven't guessed already, I consider this to be a very, very bad thing.) For miles and miles of Iowa this is the ONLY local ISP that is available. That wouldn't really be so bad if the service was good...
I used to use this ISP, and if it would even let me get on the internet, it would eventually kick me off anyway. Fortunately I moved and am now using a different local ISP that is fantastic.
Since I hadn't used pcpartner for a while, I thought that maybe it had changed...but then I went to visit my grandparents just a week ago, and guess what! Pcpartner wouldn't let us get on the net. It wasn't even a busy time of the day! Then, when we finally did get on, it kicked us off after about five minutes. This happened twice before we finally gave up.
In the last week I have done a little research. I called up a bunch of my friends & relatives who use this ISP, and asked them what they thought about it. Every single person I talked to said that they had "problems" with it. There wasn't a single person who didn't have a complaint.
Personally, I've never used pcpartner's customer service or technical support, but it must be pretty good because this company is growing. I don't really see how they could, though, with the crappy internet service they provide.
Besides internet service, pcpartner provides telephone service and sells computers. I haven't personally tried anything but the ISP part of them, but based on that service, I won't be "trying" anything else from them.
If you live in Iowa and have another option besides Mid-Iowa PcPartner, I would recommend going with the "other option".
