When I first heard of Tomb Raider, I was just getting into gaming, and the advertisements for this one said that you could "adventure anywhere"
I was pretty intrigued by this, so I picked it up. At the time, I had a pretty nasty computer, and the graphics were just good. A couple years later, I finally picked up a video card that supported 3DFX, and was completely blown away! The improvement was 100%. It was better than the Playstations graphics, and that is saying a lot, because I really like the playstation. The puzzles are pretty tough without being impossible, and this isn't a straight-forward shooter (like the Quake series or Doom) but instead, it takes you into the beautiful world of ancient Egypt. It's hard to explain how breathtaking it is to look down from the top of the Sphynx... I lost my breath the first time I saw it, then had to make Lara dive off of it at least once :-)
Another thing that really turned me on to this game was the music, you'll really have to hear it for yourself, but it really matches what you are doing in the game without being intrusive or breaking your concentration.
All of that aside, Tomb Raider is a must have game, especially since it's going for about $9.99 (look through the Bargain Bin, chances are, it's there..)
