| December's Full Review: Mindspring |
I've been a user of Mindspring three years now and have to say it's been the best I've ever used. I've tired a few others and none compare.
The ease of set up was great, just pop in the CD and it walked us right through the whole set up process. The Mindspring Internet Desktop icon makes connecting the net just as easy. Having a what's new page is great also, tons of information for users. It lets me know how many email's I have waiting and I can launch several programs with just a click from this page.
I don't think I can remember how many times I have gotten a busy signal from them it's been that few. I think that's pretty good considering where I live (Atlanta, GA).
The best part of Mindspring though is the technical support they offer their users. It's available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I have called on a few holidays and they do shut down for the major ones. I have called them all just about everything. I had a problem once after upgrading my email program. I made a mistake somewhere, and they were very quickly able to find it and fix it and teach me something new along the way. I've called for programs that have nothing to do with the net and if the person who answers the phone has some idea (they usually do) as to what to do they help. I would say that has been one of the main reasons we have stayed with Mindspring, the technical support just can't be beat.
If your looking for a ISP that's quick, easy to use, not allot of bells and whistles (who needs them anyway, just takes up space on the computer) and the best technical support there is then Mindspring is for you.
