The best place on the Web to get photos for your computer

I had heard about WebShots the first time through e-mail that I received from CNet each week on new products or up coming products. This one was a highly recommend product by them and had already started to get a very high amount of downloads from their server.
So I downloaded it right then to see what the product was all about, since it was a new product and I always like to have the "new and improved" stuff on my computer. After installing it I really was not draw to it and uninstalled it a few days later. Though the download is very quick, even though I only download once and that was there "free simple" that they were giving out at the time. The format of the pictures are not in BMP format, but installed in WBZ format, making the photos much smaller in size. This is a good thing cause it doesn't take a lot of room on your computer. This was though that that time they only allowed one free download, and since I saw no big deal in it I uninstalled it.
About a month ago a friend of mine was talking about this program and how much she loved it and could not live with out it. I informed her that I had tried it once but didn't;t really see the big deal and didn't want to sign up and have to pay for more photos to download. She just about fall out of her chair laughing and told me it was all free.
In shock I had to find out for my self and went home that night to check out their web-page to see if what she said was true. And by golly it was. They have thousands of photos to download and all of them free. Everything from Peoples to 3D Art, from Travel to just about any type of animal you can think or, from religion to Space, and so much more.
Taken back I had to download WebShots again and try it out. Now I am hooked! The software seems to have changed a little. It gives you more control over what you do with the photos you save on your computer. Even though no you can not save the photo outside of the program it's self. All the pictured on there site are copy written, so if you find away to save them, which I know their is, keep in mind about the copy write issues.
Back to the software though, with this software you can delete photos you do not want. You can set the photos to come up as a screen saver. You can choose what photos to have come up as the screen saver. You can also set the background on your computer to change ever hour, to every four hours, to once a day. You can have the software remind you at the same time everyday to download the new photo available, with a flashing icon that places it self on your task bar. You can do so much with this product.
When downloading you also have the option to download what you want. You can download one photo at a time or you can download sets of photos. I find it easier to download the sets and just delete the ones I do not want/like. The downloads are always fast. They all save right into you software, so you do not need to find a file to save them to. In fact, as soon as you click on what you want to download, it downloads right then. Does not take you through all the steps of picking where to save it and so on. Which makes it a lot easier in my book.
WebShots web-page is one the easiest I have found yet to move around in. They offer a lot on there web-page as well. You can make your own "photo album" and upload photos to it. You can share you photos with others if you choose to but having an on-line photo album (which is under their "Community" tab).
Another great thing about their site is the fact that you can also have the choose to send on-line cards. They offer a great selection of photos from their Gallery to send to anyone around the world. I, for the most part, use only their on-line card sending when sending that special someone a greeting card.
They also provide an affiliates program that you can sign up for and make money with, if you are one of those on-line users that like to make money from the net. How does this work? Well if you have a web-page you can place an advertisement of them on your page, and when ever someone clicks on that advertisement, you get 4cents. Its that easy.
The one thing I have found that I don't care much for is the fact that their web-page can take a while to load but since they do have so many photos shown on the pages, this is to be understood. I haven't had any issues with it slowing my computer down, or making it give errors. I have also had a hard time when trying to import some of my photos and have yet been able to do so but my friend has been able to. So I must be doing something wrong and in time will figure it out.
I use this product everyday and try to visit their site every morning to download the new photo that they put up every day. I have to say this is one of my favorite software. I am glad I decided to redownload it.
