I've tried many (probably most) of the 'paid to surf' programs. This has to be one of the best.
All you have to do is sign up (it's free), download and install their ad-bar, and start making money. The ad-bar has a 'green light' to let you know you're logging time. It turns red if you don't move your mouse for a while, this is just so they are sure that you're not logging on then going to walk the dog or something.
Their pay-out rate is hard to figure out (close to $0.50/hr). You never know for sure how much you've earned till the end of the month but I haven't been disappointed yet.
The best part is that you earn points for playing their games too. The games are your basic, anyone can play type. I let the kids play while I'm cooking dinner. Between the points they make for winning and the points earned for running the ad-bar (you can do both together), I figure I'm actually getting paid to cook.
I've been real skeptical about getting friends into these programs (I'd hate it to be some kind of rip-off or not worth their time) but I'm telling everyone about this one. I'm earning as much off my referrals as I do myself.
