If you analyze the actual cost of this bundle (and these are amazon.com prices) you'll see that you're being ripped off!

Now this is only the first problem! The second is the difference between hubs and switches. Hubs support up to 200 mbit/s transfer, however, if you have several devices connected to the hub you are severely limited the maximum bandwidth of each device! Network Switches provide just what you want - 200 mbit/s transfer rate to each port! Linksys sells another network starter kit, model FESWSK5 which comes with 2 NIC's, 2 cables, and a 5 port 10/20/100/200 full duplex switch, all for $82, it even comes with a $15 rebate!
