Pros: Nice software that came with it. Picture quality wasn't to bad when it would work.
Cons: Broke down after 4 months. Ink runs to much, paper jams.

| poneyby's Full Review: Lexmark Color Jet 1100 InkJet Printer |
I received this printer as a Christmas present a couple years ago. For a cheap printer it worked fine for the first few months. As time went on I began to have more and more problems with it. I have decided to trash it and get myself a new one soon.
This printer uses two cartridges, for printing in color and for black and white. Even though this printer is fairly cheap they get you in the cost of the cartridges. One replacement cartridge will cost you almost 50 dollars. This is half the price of the printer itself. I have never needed to buy any new ones because it didn't stay working long enough to need replacing. When I was able to print things out the quality of the printing was pretty good. One problem is the ink runs if you touch it to soon. It did come with some rather nice software. A workshop cd that lets you make cards, t-shirt labels, certificates, and comics, and more.
My problems started with the paper feeding into the printer. It would always get jammed half way through printing out something. Then after that problem seemed to be corrected the printer cartridges would stick to the sides. I had to take it in to get that fixed. Now this printer will not even work at all. I try to print something out and it just makes a clicking sound over and over. Paper doesn't feed through and the cartridges do not move at all. I am not even going to bother taking it in again.
If you are looking for a cheap color jetprinter, then look for something else or save up your money awhile longer and get something that works for more then 4 months. This looks pretty when you get it ,but at least for me it is more trouble then it's worth. My sister has a different model Lexmark printer. Hers has worked very well for almost 3 years now. So I am not sure if it only this cheaper model that breaks down. I think though I will avoid Lexmark with my next printer.
