Creative Labs Riva TNT2 M64 32MB
I've had oportunity to try out this low-cost graphics card and my conclusion is: It ain't worth it.
What does M64 means?
M64 is the name nVidia gave to this light version of Riva TNT2 that uses two 64bits channels instead one of 128bit like normal TNT2.
What this means is that you get very low performance when using higer resolutions or bigger textures, specially at 32bit color deep.
Performace
The true is that I don't recommend graphics card using M64, the performance of these cards is very low, and even sometimes an old TNT get better results than this, I don't understand why Creative put 32MB on this card, since you can't make full use of them!
To see how good(or bad) the card is i've ran QIII and Unreal T. and what i've saw was not very impressing (frame rates below 15fps in some situations at 800x600)
conclusion
I really don't recommend this card to nobody, specially when the TRUE TNT2 cost almost the same.
In these Geforce times, you will be dessapointed with this (or every other card that uses M64).
As for people that don't want to pay too much for a graphic card, my sugestion is pay a little more and buy a TRUE TNT2, it compensates the extra cash, or start saving cash and buy a GeForce MX.
