I have had the same internet provider for over two years. I did not have one complaint with the service that they provided me. I was happy with the price and customer service.
Well about two months ago, my provider changed to OneMain.com. About a week before the official change I started to have problems connecting to the internet at night. I assumed that it was because they were changing things within the company. But, I e-mailed them anyway and they said it must be my problem and do this and do that to your computer. SO, I did. Nothing changed, and I changed all the settings back. About a week ago things got better and I was back to normal.
The other night I started to have problems again. So, I decided to e-mail them, but this time it was OneMain.com that I was dealing with. I sent off my e-mail and got an instant response, a form e-mail saying "We are currently processing your request and will respond within 48 hours."
Okay now this confuses me because the President of the Company had just e-mailed me saying this "Our mission is to be the leading customer-driven provider of Internet access, Internet services and local content to smaller metropolitan markets and rural communities like yours. We offer the services you have come to expect from a national company, including fast, reliable connections via our state of the art network and technical support available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."
My connections are not fast sometimes I connect at 9600 bps, so they don't offer me fast connections or the reliability of being connected because I usually get kicked off after 5 minutes. I have already mentioned customer service, it isn't there when I need it.
So far I am not impressed by OneMain.com
