Anyone who is on the Internet knows they need virus protection. Programs, however, need updating. McAfee Clinic provides a low-cost manner to help protect your computer.
McAfee Clinic is a Website (www.mcafee.com)that allows you to scan your computer with the absolute latest in virus protection by logging on to the site, and doing a scan. The software at McAfee is updated as needed for new virus protection. In addition, McAfee provides more than VirusScan. In addition, you may download Active Shield and Rescue Disk which are two more weapons in helping protect you against viruses. McAfee makes this available for an annual fee of $29.95, but you can get a free two-week trial, just by logging on and registering.
If that was all that McAfee Clinic did, it would be well worth the $29.95. But they have packaged several other useful utilities that are available when you subscribe to McAfee Clinic. Uninstaller helps clean up those dead links, obsolete files, and unwanted programs from your hard drive wit Quick Clean, Application Remover, Application Restorer, and FileWipe.
First Aid Online is another aspect of the McAfee Clinic. It helps you improve your PC's performance and solve system problems with Performance Optimizer, Windows Advisor, and other programs. It tells you if all you hardware is working properly, if there are conflicts in the system, and helps optimize your system.
Finally, you get Oil Change Online. Software Update Finder and Hardware Upgrade Analyst scan your system and offer customized advice. Are there new versions of your software? Do you need to upgrade any of your system? The answers will be found here.
You can use any and all of these programs as often as you desire, with the subscription. All in all, I feel this is one of the best $29.95 I have spent in a long time.
