Pros:Fast! Plenty of perks!
Cons:Locks up frequently

I needed to upgrade my HP Pavilion Pentium I that I purchased in 1995. I had no problems whatsoever with it, so I decided to go back with HP. I ordered the PC (refurbished) from uBid.com. in September, 2000. It come with a 90 day warranty and it looked great, but from the first day in began to lock-up and the CTRL, ALT, DEL was unresponsive, therefore I had to perform cold boots. I contacted HP Tech Support about 12 times over a 2 month period, although it locked up much more than that. They even sent the appropriate shipping labels once and had me to ship it back because they said it sounded like a hard drive problem. Once I receive the computer back, it continued to lock up. Just recently, one of "many" technicians decided to check the system resources. It was running at 56%. I was instructed to disable the system tray and some other applications that load automatically. Still the problem persisted. I finally called HP with 1 month of warranty remaining and told them that I had had enough. I was very polite and informed them that I wanted another PC or my money back. Because I was polite and professional, someone in top management called this week (11/14/00) and said they would replace and UPGRADE the computer (still a refurbished one, though) for all my troubles. I will be receiving it in 5-7 days. He apologized for my troubles and said to call if there were any problems with the 8670C that he would be sending out. I can't recommend the 8655C but I can't ask for better customer service from HP. The technicians really tried to help, although the calls to them were beginning to add up, but to own up the the fact that this particular product has flaws and send me an upgrade is more than I can ask.
