I was extremely happy with Texas.net for several years - mostly because I never had to deal with them.
I called in for some help with a connection problem and was treated sarcastically and rudely by both a tech and a manager. I wrote a letter to the company to describe my customer service experience. A few days after I sent the letter, my Texas.net service was cancelled, wiping out my account and my only backup of some files that I was storing on their server.
I called in and was told that my account had been deleted by the person whom I had complained about in my letter. I spoke with a manager, expecting him to be as outraged as I was. He told me that that was their prerogative, and "perhaps I should apologize for complaining, and ask them if they would please allow me to continue my service with them." I was told that, "Afterall, YOU'RE the one who called US for assistance with your connection problem, so I don't think you really have a right to complain about the quality of our customer service."
I thought it was a joke. I thought, "surely I'm just talking to this tech guy's buddy and this isn't really a supervisor." I spoke with a Vice President - same treatment, same condescension and disrespect.
He pointed me toward their TERMS OF USE AGREEMENT....
BEWARE THE TERMS OF USE AGREEMENT, for it literally contain's the following statement:
"We may cancel your service at any time for any reason."
And for no refund.... I had prepayed for another several hundred dollars, and a refund was refused.....
It's a joke of a company, folks.... No other corporation in the world could get away with "for any reason".
I can't believe a company can operate internally like that and not fall apart just on the basis of poor morale or lack of company respect....
ABSOLUTELY THE SECOND WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER DONE BUSINESS WITH!!!!
