I brought my Compaq Presario 1245 just over a year ago. I chose a Laptop over a Desktop because I'm in the military and I move around alot. I can take my computer with me most of the time so I still have access to the internet.
I have had a few problems with the 1245, but the Compaq tech support has help me correct any problems that I had.
I ordered my computer from the American Computer Corp., so I didn't get to use it prior to buying. If I had of knew then what I know now I would have gotten a few added extras. I would have gotten a DVD instead of a regular CD-ROM, a bigger hard drive, and at least 64 meg RAM.
All in all I am happy with the Compaq Presario 1245, it works for me.
It may be slow at times but it had come in very handy when I needed it. I have on occasion used it at work to give presentations at work, set up slide shows, and even train some of my soldiers to help them do their job.
