Ok first off there are people probably mad at Geocities for the pop-up banners.Get rid of those by inserting a Geoguide at the top of your pages.That is my only real big deal problem.I have no clue what HTML works nor how to use it, but I have a site, thanks to Pagebuilder from Geocities, and for free! I have a iMac so I had to use the Pagebuilder in Netscape instead of my preferred Explorere, but that is it as far a compatability problems.
Adding features such as Message Boards are made easy.The uploading of pictures is easy and quick using File Manager.Although it does take time to do some things with a slow conection as I have.
All in all Geocities is a great solution for free web building.The sense of community is pretty good since you can build Yahoo! club for all your fans and set up a email circuit through the club.
The hits you get will be good as long as you update reguarly since Geocities promotes your site at the community section, when you join and again when you update.
