This is a great machine, I could not be happier with my latest purchase this Compaq Presario 7462. I had herd very good things about Compaq for many years but lately I have also heard some very bad things, so it was not an easy decision to make. I needed a new desk top because my old one was giving me a great deal of problems. I read a Compaq add in the newspaper where they had a number of different but very attractive offers, after meditating on it and looking at other brand and their prices I decided to give it a try.
First, the installation was very simple with all the cords and connections color coded, so it was done in a few minutes and I was ready to use it. The installation of the programs was first, which was also simple and fast, or as fast as these things are, no problems up to this point. I started downloading my files from the zip and then started to use it, there were no conflicts with programs or hardware that I had previously.
Now after using it for a few month I find it very adequate for me, and a great deal for what I paid. I have had a few problems like the left speaker dose not work, but nothing really major that had bugged me or stopped my work. The Internet friendly things it comes with are nice but nothing special. Speed is very good since I don’t use a lot of heavy files like large photographs or all that designing stuff. Also the speed of the CD is very good, screen and screen options are nice.
