You need it? It's got it. That is my summary of this computer. I believe this computer is an ideal family computer. Some computers I see are made for a specific use. Computers that advertise great graphics, others that offer blinding speed, but this computer is a winner in all categories. Starting out with an Intel Pentium III clocked at 933Mhz is probably it's best start. Moving along to the 128Megs of RAM keep this computer available for excellent multi-tasking capabilities. Throw in a 17" monitor, a 32Meg AGP video card, and a 40Gig hard drive and now this is starting to sound like a great computer. It's not all these big numbers that I like about this computer, it's the close attention to detail. The Gateway delux comes with a multi-function keyboard, and a microsoft intellapoint mouse. These features would sell this computer to me. The expandability also caught my attention. The RAM is expandable to 512, it has 5 PCI slots, and a three year limited warranty. I used to not be a big fan of giant computer companies, but the way it is looking now their prices and offerings just can't be beat.
