Square has created the best RPG available to date in Final Fantasy 8. I'm sure almost every review you read will tell you that the visuals are spectacular, and this is no exception. The story is well-made, and the new junction system is great. You can't just level up to beat a certain part of the game, as the bad guys level is based upon your level, so you have to actually think and use the junction system. Also, armor, accessories, and weapons to a degree have been removed from the game. Instead you collect parts to upgrade your weapons so they will do more damage. Money has also been made a non-factor. You get money at regular intervals (I believe it's based on number of steps, though I'm not sure), and you dont have to buy much, so you shouldnt find yourself low on cash. I cant say I enjoyed the card game that much, but it's not a necessary part in the game, so if you dont like it you arent forced to play it.
