You may want to try using the ad-aware ssoftware to get rid of comet cursor. Once it's gone, make sure that your browser doesn't install stuff without asking you. In IE, go to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced. Uncheck "install on demand" so that any software downloads will prompt you before it's done. Then go back to the cursor site and go to the page where they place a cookie on your computer and stop asking you to install it each time you browse a cursor site.
