I bought this when I started a new job and needed a printer in my office. Initially I chose the HP 712, but quickly returned it after attempting to print out a PowerPoint presentation (too slow). I spent twice as much on the 895cse, and I do not regret it for a second.

The color is outstanding...clear, crisp, sharp. The speed is more than adequate for even me, one the of the world's more impatient people. The software is easy to install and it takes up minimal space in an office. Paper and envelope feeding is smooth and mistake free.

This printer is ideal for a home office, or someone preferring a local printer rather than the laser jet at the opposite end of the building (my other option). I was a little concerned over the size of the printer cartridge (particularly the black), and the jury is still out on that issue (I have not had to replace it, but have only owned it for a month).

With so many printer options out there, and many having similar capabilities, why choose the HP 895cse? In my case it was service, (HP has always been good to me) and past performance of HP printers I have owned. This seemed to be less of a question mark than some of the less expensive brands out there.
