I haven't taken the plunge yet to try and crack the HTML code, but I may grab the book you mention here and see what it shows me.

Glad you enjoyed it! I can't wait to check out some of your stuff on epinions!.

FP2000 sounds like.... (Reply to this comment)

...a great improvement over FP98; which I tested for several months. The editor part, that is. I began to feel guilty, letting a software program do my "code" for me, so I parked FP98 and bought SYBEX "Mastering HTML 4".

It's a huge book and very intimidating but full of useful hints and rules. I looked through a dozen books on this subject at B&N (Brick&Mortar)in Reno. This one looked to be the best for me.

Teaching yourself is derided as being as good as do-it-yourself brain surgery but it works. The trick is to test yourself. So far, I am pretty mediocre but just the introduction clarifies a lot of things for non-coders like me.

I liked your review on connecting laptops; that is a very complicated task but you made it seem possible.

I'm not sure which review you read, but this one is all about Front Page 2000.

I do mention at the front that I had previously tinkered with FP 98 and that the transition to the Front Page 2000 environment was a little confusing. But other than that, this baby is all FP2000!

Mahalo for the read, though. Steve

98 or 2000? (Reply to this comment)

Although the review is about FP 2000, the title suggests otherwise and I found this to be misleading. My experience with FP 98 has been mixed - far too much hand holding, which made the startup a nightmare for me. The editor portion of FP 98 is great but the Explorer is not. This review should be redirected to the correct product.

You are very right. And I plan on getting that set up.

I have only recently gotten my web page up, and have just seen to listing it on some search engines, so now is probably the time to look into setting up an affiliate page.

Mahalo for reminding me.

Nice web page . . . I'm guessing Front Page 2000 is easier to use than '98. My question to you though, is this. Since you have a web page and have an epinions link, why don't you have an affiliate site set up (or maybe I just didn't see it. That way, you can get $$ for folks who find Epinions and sign up through your home page. All the coding is provided by Epinions, so if you got this far, you should have no problem adding an affiliate link.

It took me a while to get used to it, but once I did, This program works great.

I've heard people say that FrontPage does not write good HTML, but, what do I care? I don't know HTML antway. So I am not offended at all.

I appreciate you filling me in on other stuff I can do with the program.

I'm going to work on my wep page right now. Thanks.
