I purchased the Sony as an upgrade to a AMD K6 II personal computer and have been very satisfied with its performance. Installation was a breeze, and the software came pre-installed. I especially like the DVD/CD Rom capabilities. With the 17" monitor, watching DVD movies was more fun than I had expected.
The only problem I have had is that it will occasionally lock up when playing some children's educational games. This has only happened a couple of times, but is frustrating when the kids are 45 minutes into a game and have to reboot.
I would definitely buy Sony again. I have had Dell, Compaq, and IBM computers. After 3 months, I would say that Sony is my favorite.
This PC is great for anyone needing power and memory for Internet usage or gaming. The extra USB ports make its functionality even better. It also comes with a digital studio.
Sony's web support and phone support have been very helpful and friendly.
