Since Napster came out, I have downloaded over 100 songs. The program works by logging on to the napster server.

When you search for a song, napster looks through all of its members hard drive for the song. You can then select who you want to download the song from. It also allows you to see what other peoples connection speeds are so you don't have to worry about a slow download. Once you have downloaded the song, other people can get that song off of your hard drive just like you did with theirs. There are also chat rooms where you can exchange songs and talk to them about what songs they have. Napster even has categories you can look through.

One of the bad things is that Napster is a Beta and the full and complete version without bugs is not out yet. Sometimes, your computer might freeze or the program might stop working. This will be a hassle but in the next few months until the full version comes out.
