| gallomatteo's Full Review: Sony VAIO PCG-340 |
I had the unfortunate experience of getting my Vaio stolen just about three months ago. Over the Christmas period I decided to purchase a new laptop and I bought... well another Vaio. On a value basis I could not find (both times) a laptop that offered the same technology at Vaio type prices. It looks cool, the inside is loaded with tons of pretty useful software and at $300 below anything else out there I feel very happy about my Vaio. I use it for work stuff as well as personal type activities and I feel that the Vaio is equally suited for Kids playing games to people using it for their job. A coupe of things worth noting 1) if you don't like those silly touchpad type pointer devices a mouse is a must and 2) eve if you buy the DVD drive you need to spend another couple hundred dollars in hardware to be able to play DVDs on your TV. All in all a great computer both outright and especially as a relative value buy.
