Pros: vast number of features, it is the standard in web chatting software, huge installed base
Cons: difficult to download, difficult to install, advanced features are somewhat difficult to use

Easy to use and install, but useless for me (Reply to this comment)

I've never had any problems installing or using ICQ. I consider it fairly straightforward and the product has improved over time. I don't use it because no one else in my life uses it regularly. I recommend it if you have friends who are using it.
