I was very disappointed with the Toshiba Satellite 1605CDS. My first problem with the machine was that the battery did not hold its charge. Tops, it would give me a maximum work time of 35 minutes, while using it with a word processing program. Once its charge ran out, it was very difficult to get the machine to turn back on again even if I plugged it in an outlet. I had to take this machine to my reseller, several time, because the machine would just not work. It would freeze were frequent, and 3weeks after my purchase date, the machine died. It was inoperable.
The people at the store were I purchased the machine were great. They exchanged the machine with out any problems. When I got home and opened the new Satellite 1605CDS(same model, even exchange) it was missing several parts, including its battery. I gave up, and asked for my money back, which I got right away. It was a very big disappointment. I am very in need of a Lap top computer, but I am just going to have to wait, so that I can do some research and get a machine that is more reliable and that can fit my needs.
