| jopurich's Full Review: Pixie 550/560 |
I decided that I wanted to get an affordable computer system. Foregoing the $400 monitor for a Pixie is how I did it! I got fooled with my first computer. I bought the whole Compaq system together and spent about $3000 (that was about 5 years ago so I can get much more for that amount now), but me and my brother were insistent on a budget of under $1000 so we got a new Compaq computer but decided against the $300-400 monitor and got a Pixie instead for $150.
Let me tell you, there is NO difference! It looks exactly like my old Compaq monitor and even my Dell at work. It's a 15 inch, clear, centered and the color is good.
The only thing I encountered with it that was weird was when I use to talk on my cell phone near it, it started getting these squiggly little lines through the screen, but since I've since been banned from using the phone by the computer, it stopped, so I'm sensing that this has nothing to do with the monitor but with the waves coming from my phone. If anyone has any enlightenment, please let me know.
The one bad thing is, the buttons are a bit weird and hard to function but I dont mess with them, so I am fine.
Happy Monitor Shopping!
