Fast Burning, Great Quality
Written: Jan 27 '00
Pros:Fast burns, Quality recording
Cons:No overburning
After downloading hordes of independent bands music files in MP3 formats, i wanted a way to listen to them when I was not home. To do this I figured I would burn the songs onto cd. First, I needed to decide what burner(cd recorder) I should get. I talked to friends, peers online, and sales people. The Panasonic CW7502B came highly recommended.
I quickly purchased the drive, and immediately was pleased with the sufficient documentation and support from Panasonic and Matsushita(the manufacturer).
The burns I made from the drive always worked and were of high quality. The music I listened to on my cd players sounded great, the same near-cd quality that mp3's produce on the computer. The drive was easy to use and the burning process was really quick.
My only complaint is the fact that the drive's firmware does not support overburning. This has forced me to be unable to burn past the 74 minute limit like other cdr's allow. Hopefully in a newer firmware update this will change.
My configuration included an Adaptec 2920C SCSI Controller
