Should you take the plunge?

Pros:Free. (yay.)
Cons:Attachments don't always send properly, messages arrive late or even never

Hotmail.

A long long time ago, I once came upon the internet. Hotmail got me right away, because it was FREE ... I was suckered into believing that people charged for email addresses. Yeah right.

Down time.
To be fair, Hotmail isn't down that often. It's pretty reliable to be up when you need it, and I even used it in Mexico when I vacationed down there.

Sending and receiving.
On the other hand, if you send a message, no matter where you are, it can take hotmail from seconds to minutes and hours (even the better part of a day) for the message to be sent and received to another person. I won't even count the times I have gotten a message saying "Aren't you going to reply to me? to me!??

Attachments.
I don't know how this is possible, but it seems that if I send an attachment to any other hotmail address, it doesn't come through, and vice versa. I can receive the picture if it is from any other account than hotmail. It's very irritating.

One last thing.
I hate logging out of hotmail and getting re-routed to the msn homepage. The home page is cluttered with stuff that I do not need. I get that kind of information from lots of other sources. I use hotmail for Mail, and think it should be considered spamming to be redirected after being logged out.

*sigh* That is my opinion of hotmail. Stay away. Go to yahoo or something.
