Problems with Installation

Initially, I purchased this Product because of the Name Recognition and the Price Point....along with a $10 rebate at the time I purchased it. This was to be my FIRST USB connection on my upgraded computer, and even though I followed the Installation Instructions to the letter, My computer and this camera would not Work!! I exchanged the camera once, thinking I had a defective camera, but when I had the same problems with the Exchanged Unit, I decided to investigate further via the internet. After Much Reading, I found that a problem had been reported only on USB computer systems that were running WINDOWS 98 SECOND EDITION in conjuction with an AMD MOTHERBOARD running at 350mhz or Higher....and unfortuneately for me I was running an AMD motherboard with 450mhz, with Windows Second Edition. I was finally able to obtain updates after MUCH SEARCHING on the Manufacturers website, and finally got the camera to work after MUCH HASSLE. I was the only one, from what I read, to have these types of installation problems, and now that I let the cat out of the bag....
just be patient, look for the answers in the right places, and you should come out ahead like I did. I was not looking for a high quality PC camera and I dont consider this to be a high quality product...but in consideration for what I paid (about $30 after the rebate) I am happy with this Product, and would recommend it to someone else who wants a PC camera, is on a tight budget, and is not anal retentive about having the highest quality PC Camera. (Thats what I have my other Digital Camera for) I would Rate this as a C+ or just above average product. Good Deal for the Money.
